Danford Peterson
Managing Director

Danford Peterson is a Managing Director at Fundamental Credit Opportunities and a member of the investment team. Prior to joining FCO in 2014, Mr. Peterson built and managed the Relative Value Trading desk at Jefferies, overseeing capital investment and risk management in both the taxable and tax-exempt municipal markets. Previous to that, Mr. Peterson co-headed the municipal desk at PIMCO where he was a member of the Americas Portfolio Committee. He was responsible for investment recommendations and portfolio strategy initiatives, challenging existing PIMCO views and positioning, and insights on special topics. Prior to PIMCO, Mr. Peterson spent 11 years at Goldman Sachs as an investment banker in public finance, a flow trader and risk manager, and ultimately a member of the municipal proprietary trading desk. Mr. Peterson received his Masters of Engineering Management from Dartmouth College and B.S. in Physics from Bates College.

Hector Negroni
CEO & Chief Investment Officer

Hector Negroni is Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer of FCO Advisors LP (FCO).  Hector has been a pioneer in the municipal market over the last 3 decades, leading innovation in investing and proprietary trading, public/private financing, derivatives, securitized products and a broad range of structured solutions. His efforts have provided financing for tens of billions of dollars of infrastructure and essential government services. Prior to forming FCO, he was the head of municipal trading at Goldman Sachs and before joining Goldman, he worked at Société Générale, Lazard Fréres and Citigroup in a variety of leadership roles. Hector earned a BS from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He resides in New York City with his wife and two young daughters and is active with a number of charities focused on children’s and veteran’s concerns.

Dana Fusaris
Principal

Dana S. Fusaris, CFA, is a Principal and Co-Founder of Fundamental. Ms. Fusaris has spent the entirety of her career as a distressed and special situations investor, and for more than a decade, has focused solely on the municipal markets. Prior to joining Fundamental, she was a Portfolio Director at Madison Capital Management, where she developed a new area of investing for the firm, leading the practice in the distressed and defaulted municipal bond investment arena. Ms. Fusaris holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the National Federation of Municipal Analysts. In 2014, Dana became a member of The Committee of 200 (C200), an invitation-only membership organization of the world’s most successful women business leaders. Ms. Fusaris graduated from Fairfield University’s Graduate School of Business with an M.B.A. in Finance and obtained a B.S. in Accounting at the University of Southern Mississippi. Ms. Fusaris is actively involved with several charitable organizations including Colorado Coalition Against Domestic Violence, Stand Up Colorado and Stepping Stone Support Center.

Laurence Gottlieb
Chairman & CEO

Laurence L. Gottlieb is the Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Fundamental Advisors LP (“Fundamental”). Mr. Gottlieb has focused his career on revitalizing distressed assets and businesses. Prior to founding Fundamental, Mr. Gottlieb was Co-head of Citigroup’s Municipal Distressed & Special Situations Proprietary Trading Desk. In this position, Mr. Gottlieb focused on investments in high-yield and distressed municipal bonds, securities that were owned and traded on a proprietary basis by Citigroup and generally secured by real estate, operating businesses and other assets. Prior to joining Citigroup, Mr. Gottlieb served as Senior Vice President at C.A.K. Universal Credit Corporation, a subsidiary of Prudential Securities. He began his professional career practicing law in Los Angeles at the law firm of McDermott, Will & Emery where he specialized in distressed asset/business restructurings, insolvency proceedings and complex commercial matters. Mr. Gottlieb earned his J.D. from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and his B.A. cum laude from Boston University. Following law school, he was admitted to the California Bar in Los Angeles where he served as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Kathleen T.Lax, United States Bankruptcy Judge, Central District of California. Mr. Gottlieb currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Metro New York Chapter of Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO).
